Sushi -寿司

Matty, my brother, is amazing! Today he made lunch. But it is not your ordinary mac and cheese. And he did not put left-overs in the microwave and push a button.

                                                                             No

He made sushi!

All by himself!

He not only can cook, he has the presentation down! My mom taught him well!
I was watching him and had to leave because he took so painfully long to preparing each roll.

Here are the fruits of his labor!

And boy were they good!!

Here is the man!

California roll: seaweed, avocado, cucumber, rice, imitation crab, and don't forget the soy-sauce and Wasabi!

Poem

Okay, so I don't think I could become a poet but I sometimes like trying to write poetry that rhymes.

Here is a poem that I wrote at the age of 10 because it popped into my head all-of-a sudden.

The flower starts like any flower,
Bud, stem, and leaf,
Beyond man’s power to make such a flower,
God’s power will never end.

Day till dusk under God’s careful hand
He creates each little petal
Till it grows life size, now
Its new life begun.

So bright its color
So soft its petal
So delicate and unique

How marvelous are God’s works to behold.
So lovely is the flower,
It shines day and night
And in the moon light
Is quite bright.

Recipe 2

I love fruit, yogurt, and home made granola. This is great for breakfast or a healthy snack!

Ingredients:
fresh or frozen fruit*
non flavored or yogurt
granola
honey/white sugar

Tools:
bowl
spoon (unless you want to eat it with your fingers!)

Action:
Put the yogurt in the bowl and layer the fruit and then granola on top. I sometimes like to mix the fruit with the yogurt first. Then you drizzle honey on top. This is important because the non flavored yogurt is not sweetened. In stead of honey you can put sugar on top.

You can also mix yogurt and sweetener together and then put fruit and granola on top.

Too many possibilities!

Enjoy

* I like fresh cut strawberries or blue berries but any fruit will do.

See something wrong with this picture?

I walked into our bathroom to get something, saw this, and had to take a picture.

I found out after that one of my brothers had done it!
