The Praying Mantis

Today Matty found a Praying Mantis in our garden. I am not a bug person and I do not like touching bugs. However, I do think some bugs, (praying mantises) are cool. So Matty did the touching and holding and I took the pictures. It was pretty funny, when it decided to crawl up his arm and onto his face. It was very fast! But anyway, i'll let the pictures speak for themselves(:

Matty:Drums

Matty has been taking drums for a little while know. Both he and I did piano for a few years. I liked it and he did not. So after we quite, me being to busy and he wanting to do something else,  he decided to take drums. Our friends lent him their electric drum which was so nice of them. It has been fun hearing Matt practice. When he get supper excited about a beat he has just learned, he will call me or anyone else over to hear it!(:

Yellowstone Part 4

The next few days a the Tetons were awesome! When we had gone before, there had been a lot of fires, making it hard to see the mountains and enjoy the view. Not this time.

Day 7

Day 8

We started off this morning, by going fishing!

his plastic bag with holes was brilliant, but it just didn't catch the fast little fish

After a few hours of unsuccessful fishing, we decided to get some breakfast

we watched a ranger program and learned about bear safety.
One important thing to remember:
Never run from a bear
